~Devdas~
Devdas is the story of a love beyond all else...even life.
The saga of a man called Devdas who loved, loved and just loved...

Devdas shared a magnetic childhood with his lovely playmate Paro where supreme love was felt before it was understood. When youth beckoned, the loved intensified. But, alas, a fateful moment of weakness on the part of Devdas created a permanent wall of seperation between him and his beloved Paro. On one side of the wall was a heartbroken Paro who became the wife of another. And on the other, was a completely shattered Devdas.

Unable to bear the agony of a life without Paro, Devdas made alcohol his constant companion. But that could not make him forget the piercing pain. Even the unflinching devotion of a beautiful courtesan Chandramukhi, did not ease the heartache of losing Paro. It was only when his eyes closed to a permanent sleep, did the pain begin to fade.

But even before losing the light of life, all Devdas urged, was to see his Paro just once ...
Thus giving his love the greatest dignity ...
It was at Paro's doorstep, that the doors of heaven opened for Devdas.

He left behind a testimony of true love, that was pure, chaste, undemanding...
and thus immortal. Indeed, love was his life...
love makes him live on...

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
We LOVE the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai! It's soo funny!

Rahul ( Shah Rukh ) and Anjali (Kajol) are both the best of friends , studying in the same college. Anjali and Rahul got along very well as college chubbies . Rahul, always considering her as a friend never realised that as time passed, Anjali actually loved him. Tina (Rani Mukherjee) enters, and Rahul falls in love with her, not realising Anjali's feelings for him.
Rahul and Tina get married but , Tina dies an ill-timed death and wishes that Rahul and Anjali be brought together. The story is narrated through letters written by Tina to her daughter- one given to her on each of her first 8 burthdays by the grandma(farida jalal) .....The last one containing the story naratted in the first half of the film, she now has to bring them both together...they having not met each other for a loooong time...

So Grandma , Grandpa(Anupam Kher), and Anjali(the daughter) go in search of Kajol...they land up at a summer camp in Shimla....Shah Rukh also lands up later and finally meets Kajol after many many many many years....

The chemistry between them starts developing.....thanx greatly to grandma, daughter and Johnny Lever....!!!

And the rest is as predictable as ever......

Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham
(Shah Rukh Khan) unfortunately was unable to do new thing in his acting though he got good character to play. Shah Rukh as Rahul falls in love with Anjali (Kajol), who dotes on her younger sister Pooja (Kareena Kapoor) and cares madly about her ailing father Bauji (Alok Nath). Rahul decides to leave the mother Jaya Bachchan as Nandini , who taught and encouraged him to fall in love and whose every waking moment henceforth will be spent waiting eagerly for her elder son to return home.

Hrithik Roshan, again knocks on hearts of youngsters with his style and of course with dance too. He emotes beautifully in the scene in which he hugs Sharukh Khan and breaks down emotionally, begging his elder brother to return home. Hrithik Roshan as Rohan makes a promise to re-unite the family after Rahul left the home for his love.

Lagaan
The year is 1893. Champaner a small farming village in Central India. On the outskirts of the village stands a British cantonment, commanded by Captain Russell (Paul Blackthorne) - an arrogant and capricious man who wields the power of life and death over the villages under his jurisdiction.
Fought by a group of unlikely heroes led by Bhuvan (Aamir Khan), an enigmatic young farmer with courage born of conviction - and a dream in his heart. Helped by Elizabeth (Rachel Shelley), an English rose who came to India and lost her heart, and Bhuvan`s pillar of strength, Gauri (Gracy Singh), the young and perky village girl who dreams only of a home with the man she loves.

A story of extraordinary circumstances thrust upon ordinary people. Adversity faces with fortitude and injustice with dignity. Faith and courage come face to face with arrogance and ruthlessness... and the human spirit triumphs

Yaadein
Like most family movies, this one also starts of with the center of attention based around the family, full of bliss and joy. This time the setting is in the gorgeous city of London. Raj Singh Puri (Jackie Shroff), his beautiful wife (Rati Agnihotri), and their three daughters Avantika (Avni vasa), Sania (Himani Rawat), and Isha (Kareena Kapoor) live a content life. Raj Puri has everything he could ask for. He even has the loyalty of an old family friend, L.K. Malhotra (Anang Desai), and his wife and son Rohit (Hrithik Roshan). They are also very content with life; and like the Puri family, don't let money come between them. L.K. Malhotra's older brother, J.K. Malhotra (Amrish Puri) believes otherwise, that relationships and life are driven by money only. Ronit is very close to the Puri family, especially 'Raj uncle'. He also has some problems with his mother, and seeks contant shelter from the Puri family, especially his best friend Isha.

The story actually starts when Raj Singh's wife passes away, and he tries to live in the memories they have shared. Now he has to live for his daughters. As a father, he was never really involved in their lives. Now he has to play the role of a father as well as a mother, as he tries to become their friend. So he takes his daughters and goes back to India, and Ronit tags along. Here he first helps Mr. Puri to find a match for his eldest daughter, then he helps bring the middle daughter out of the western culture and back into the Indian culture. Then there is Isha who doesn't believe in love. A little side story of hers in this movie is that she is a cycling champ, and in one of her scenes Subhash Ghai makes his extraordinary appearance, as he does in all his movies. Ronit and Isha eventually do fall in love, but Raj Puri doesn't want Ronit to marry Isha, but someone else. This is where the twist turns into a triangle.

Mohabbatien
It is a film based in a small North Indian town. A film that is set in one of the most prestigious educational institutions of the country - Gurukul. It is governed with an iron hand by the autocratic disciplinarian Narayan Shankar (Amitabh Bachchan). He runs the institution keeping in mind its three pillars 'Tradition, Honour and Discipline'. Every year he reminds the fresh batch of students that the outside world is closed to them once they have decided to enroll in this prestigious institution. And he warns them that any flouting or bending of the rules will not be tolerated. To this institution come three youngsters. Boys from different parts of the country, with different characteristics, where fun and frivolity is frowned upon, where laughter or sharing a joke is deemed unacceptable. It is here that Vicky (Uday Chopra), Sameer (Jugal Hansraj) and Karan (Jimmy Shergill) form a kind of unbreakable bond. A bond that will require them to face the most difficult of tests and make choices that they never thought they would have to make. Because it is here that these boys break the cardinal rule of Gurukul & Narayan Shankar.... They fall in love.

When Vicky, Sameer and Karan first meet Ishika (Shamita Shetty), Sanjana (Kim Sharma) and Kiran (Preeti Jhangiani) respectively, their lives are placed in a turmoil as they would like to meet the girls, talk to the girls, and dream about the girls, but the omnipotent figure of Narayan Shankar looms large. It is only with the arrival of Raj Aryan (Shah Rukh Khan) the maverick music teacher, who encourages the boys to follow their hearts and break open the gates of Gurukul, that the boys actually begin living a life that they earlier only dreamed of.
